Who Can Take Part?

The Knight Frank Schools Triathlon Series is open to all children aged 7 - 13*. We welcome children from both prep and primary schools to take part in this unique sports fundraising event, designed specifically for children.

Our events are an opportunity for children of all abilities to take on a new sporting challenge as part of a team - whilst giving back to the wider community through their fundraising - creating a friendly and fun ethos to the series. The only requirement is that children are confident in swimming 50 - 100m (depending on their Year Group).

*Please note that some events in the series are open to Years 3 - 8, and others just Years 3 -6. For more information, head to the ‘Register Now’ section where you can find the details for each event.

How To Get My School Involved?

If you think The Schools Triathlon sounds like something your pupils would like to be involved in, please see the steps below:

  1. If you haven’t already, check out our event page to find the date and location of the event which is closest to you.

  2. Email schoolstriathlon@restlessdevelopment.org with the name of your school, and the event which you are interested in

  3. If there is space at the event, we will arrange a date to come into your school and present an assembly, to tell the children all about the event and invite them to take part.

  4. After the assembly, we will email you (the school) a ‘Parent Invite’ which has all the information and links that parents/guardians need to sign up their children’s team, as well as a deadline for registering their interest. We kindly ask that you send this to all relevant year groups.

  5. Parents/Guardians will receive an email to confirm if their team has or hasn’t been successful 3 weeks after the deadline date given on your school’s invitation. In the likely event that the team is given a place, we will individually email all parents/guardians within the team to invite them to register their child for the event.

We are aware just how busy schools are, so it’s important to know that this is a parent-led event, with parents registering the children directly and taking them on the day.

If you wish to enter your child’s team independent of their school, please send us an email (schoolstriathlon@restlessdevelopment.org) and we will try our best to accommodate your request.

Fundraising

Restless Development are the proud organising charity of The Knight Schools Triathlon Series.Through education and training, Restless Development develops young people's skills so they can support themselves and their community. Watch this short video to learn more about how Restless Development is empowering young leaders worldwide to tackle challenges with education, unemployment and climate change!

To take part, each participant must fundraise a minimum of £50, with a target of £100. Parents are responsible for organising this through JustGiving (individually or as a team).

The first £50 raised by each child will go to Restless Development as the organising charity. The second £50 raised will go to your school's chosen charity. Anything raised over £100 will go to Restless Development.

Any children who raise the minimum of £50 and above will receive a certificate to celebrate their incredible achievement.
